No healing can happen in the presence of deficiency.
Find the Deficiency First
And start with Vitamin C, Vitamin B3, and Magnesium. C, B3, Mg are the key!
All cells require large amounts of these three nutrients, and they are the most common deficiencies. Human beings are genetically predisposed to being deficient in Vitamin C, Magnesium, and B3. Humans are supposed to make Vitamin C but do not. Magnesium is odiously hard to get from the diet in physiological amounts and is difficult to uptake. B3 is made by humans but not enough to meet the demand for it. These three nutrients MUST be in abundance in the body and in cells and when they are deficient the human body cannot function correctly. The consequences of deficiency of these three nutrients include reduced energy, lowered immunity, shortened life span, cardiac issues, and loss of biological functionality.
The following Klaire Labs protocol recommendation could be the solutions for many adverse health conditions.
Vitamin C is vital for immune function, joint health and connective tissue integrity, energy metabolism, immunity, and proper stress management. It is THE MOST important vitamin and of the most important nutrients, as it is the primary antioxidant in the human body (it even recycles other antioxidants that get used up). Vitamin C, or Ascorbic Acid, is the key nutrient for collagen synthesis and is responsible for converting hormones and neurotransmitters. The body has no way to store it and the human diet is woefully inadequate in vitamin C. It must be consumed daily and multiple times throughout the day. After 15-45 minutes of its consumption, 50% is already used up and within 4 hours Vitamin C is back to baseline biological levels, prior to its intake.
Supplement Recommendation: C Plus. Contains Ascorbic Acid and Ascorbyl Palmitate, the Fat-Soluble form of C
Start with 2 Caps AM, 1 Cap NOON, 1 Cap PM w/food. If a “flu like illness” is coming on, then take 1-2 caps every hour on the hour until symptoms subside. Be aware of “bowel tolerance” and reduce if loose stools or diarrhea occur (but do not eliminate, just reduce until stools return to normal).
Niacin, or Vitamin B3, deficiency has been recorded throughout the ages as a sinister and dangerous disease called Pellagra. At one point during the early 20th century, it was the 4th leading cause of death in the USA. It is identified by the “4 D’s”: Diarrhea, Dementia, Dermatitis, and Death. Acute Pellagra was effectively eradicated in the 1940s with the fortification of foods with b-vitamins, including B3, but niacin deficit still exists and can result in a variety of health concerns. Vitamin B3 as Niacinamide does not produce a flush while nicotinic acid, aka Niacin produces a flush. The “Niacin Flush” is the result of vasodilation from pure niacin intake and includes redness and tingling of the skin. The flush is not harmful and is a sign that the niacin is working. Niacin is critically important for every biochemical reaction in the body and it is involved in at least 450 biochemical processes. When consumed orally, it allows tryptophan to be more available for serotonin synthesis, therefore greatly assisting with mood disorders and mental health concerns. B3 is necessary for proper carbohydrate metabolism, energy production on a cellular level, mental health conditions, stress, anxiety, focus, immunity, and all aspects of human health. The flush-causing pure form of Niacin allows for cholesterol regulation while the inactive Niacinamide form does not cause a flush and can typically be used in higher doses for mental health applications.
Supplement Recommendation: Niacin SR. A 500mg, scored time-release niacin tablet that can be split for two 250mg doses
It is advised to take a B-complex daily when supplementing with B3, for best results use the Active B-Complex. For initial dosing, split the scored tablet and take one half in AM and the other in PM, w/ food and with a B-complex. This will minimize the sensation of the flush without losing its benefit. After about two weeks, take 2 whole tablets each day, AM/PM w/food and a B-complex.
Magnesium is the most important mineral for biochemical reactions and is the 4th most common mineral in the human body. It is involved in nearly every chemical reaction and is found in every cell, with 95% of cellular magnesium being in the mitochondria (cellular energy manufacturer). The absence of magnesium leads to cells being saturated with calcium, and eventual cell death. Heart palpitations, anxiety, muscle spasms, cardiac issues, mental health issues, sleep disorders, and just about every other health condition can be traced back to magnesium deficiency. Magnesium is also very difficult to absorb from food, and history tells us that humans have been dealing with low or sub-optimal intake of magnesium for millennia. Magnesium can be absorbed through the skin via epsom salt baths and special oils and creams.
Supplement Recommendation: Mag-Complete. Contains 4 different kinds of magnesium for easier uptake into cells
Start with 2 Caps AM, 1 Cap NOON, 1 Cap PM w/food, approx. 480mg/day. For conditions such as hypertension, use Magnesium Chelate Powder up to an additional 900mg/day. Be aware of any bowel changes and reduce intake if loose stools persist.
